Journeys: Discover the Greek Islands is an 8-day National Geographic-style voyage through the most iconic islands of Greece, beginning in Athens and ending in Santorini. This small-group tour blends cultural discovery, local flavours, wildlife engagement, and relaxed island life. You’ll explore cosmopolitan Mykonos, dive deep into the heritage and countryside of Naxos, and enjoy free time and optional experiences on postcard-perfect Santorini. Along the way, island walks, archaeological visits, and meaningful local experiences provide a rich balance of guided exploration and independent discovery.

Tour Program

Day 1 – Athens
Arrive at any time and make your own way to the joining hotel in Athens. Get settled and prepare for departure the next day.

Day 2 – Athens → Mykonos
Travel by ferry to Mykonos, known for its iconic windmills and seaside cafes. Unwind with a relaxing afternoon and join your CEO for a walk through town to see landmarks like the Church of Panagia Paraportiani and Little Venice.

Day 3 – Mykonos
After breakfast, take an optional archaeological excursion to Delos, an ancient Ionian site filled with historic temples and ruins. Return to Mykonos for free time to explore at your own pace.

Day 4 – Mykonos → Naxos
Catch a ferry to Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades. Accompanied by a local expert, enjoy a culinary experience focused on traditional dishes like Naxian Rosto. Then set off on a guided walking tour starting at the Portara, the marble gateway of the ancient Temple of Apollo.

Day 5 – Naxos
Spend a full day in the countryside with a local guide. Visit villages, agricultural landscapes, olive groves, traditional distilleries, and archaeological sites like the Kouroi statues. Wrap up with a visit to a wildlife conservation project on the island before free time in the afternoon.

Day 6 – Naxos → Santorini
Travel by ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival, join your CEO and local guide for a visit to the Akrotiri Museum and archaeological site, an ancient Bronze Age settlement preserved in volcanic ash. Optionally stroll part of the famous caldera trail for breathtaking views.

Day 7 – Santorini
Enjoy a free day in Santorini with optional excursions such as sailing around the caldera to nearby volcanic islets and hot springs. In the evening, you can join an optional group dinner in Oia to watch the famous sunset.

Day 8 – Santorini (Departure)
After breakfast, the tour concludes and you are free to depart at your leisure.
